MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE!!!

MY INTRO

ALOHA AND WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL BLOG!!! I THOUGHT WHY NOT SHARE MY PERSONAL GAINS & STRUGGLES THAT LIFE PUTS OUT TO EACH AND ONE OF US. I FEEL THAT THROUGH THE GIFT OF "GIVING & SHARING", THERE IS NO WAY BETTER THAN START THIS BLOG WHICH IS ALL ABOUT ME, MY OHANA (FAMILY), HOALOHA (FRIENDS), AND EVEN ENEMIES WHICH ARE THE VERY ONES I NEED TO LOVE AND ACCEPT.

I'LL SAY THIS STRAIGHT UP, I DON'T HOLD BACK MY FEELINGS FOR ANYONE AND IT'LL COME OUT OF MY MOUTH ON HOW I FEEL ABOUT YOU AND OTHERS. I DON'T GO BEHIND ANYONE'S BACK AND START RUMOURS WITH HOPES THAT IT WILL CIRCLE AROUND AND FINALLY HIT ITS TARGET. WHY TAKE THE LONG ROUTE WHEN I CAN GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. PERSONALLY, I THINK THAT IS THE "REAL" WAY OF LIVING LIFE, "BE REAL" AT ALL TIMES EVEN WHEN THE WORLD IS WATCHING.

ON THE OTHER NOTE, "I AM" THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE FROM THE WAY "I SEE IT". I AM NOT SPEAKING FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S FEEDBACK OR "CONCEITEDNESS". "THIS IS" WHAT I CHOOSE TO SEE MYSELF EVERYDAY WHEN I WAKE UP FROM MY BED AND THANK "AKUA" (GOD) FOR GIVING ME ONE MORE DAY TO LIVE, REGARDLESS OF REGRETS FROM THE "YESTERDAYS" TO THE FEARS OF "TOMMOROWS".

IN MY EYES, LIVING A "BEAUTIFUL LIFE" CAN ONLY BE ATTAINED BY "CHOICE" AND IT REQUIRES "INTEGRITY", "HONESTY", "UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE", "FORGIVENESS" AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, "LOVE".

AS MY BEAUTIFUL ANCESTORS HAVED ALWAYS BELIEVED:

'Ike aku, 'ike mai, kokua aku kokua mai; pela iho la ka nohana 'ohana.

WHICH MEANS, RECOGNIZE OTHERS, BE RECOGNIZED, HELP OTHERS, BE HELPED; SUCH IS A FAMILY RELATIONSHIP.

SO ONCE AGAIN, "WELCOME TO MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE!!!"

MY TRAVELING GYM... MY FAVORITE BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES WHENEVER I TRAVEL!!!

ALOHA EVERYONE!!!

THIS IS WHAT I DO WHENEVER I'M ON "TRAVEL STATUS"...  BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES!!!

9 Best Body Weight Exercise for Men and Women

Squat

One of the greatest exercises is also one of the most natural. This movement works all of the muscles in the lower body with the quads, gluts & hamstring. It also give an extra kick for the core as you require your deep abdominal muscles & back to do this exercise properly.

Pushup

This is one of the finest upper body exercises for the reason that it works everything from your chest to your back, your arms & even your abs. Make sure your shoulder line up with your wrists & you tuck your elbows towards your sides. Try to acquire your chest and hips as close to the floor as potential without touching.

Bridge

The bridge will strengthen your gluts and hamstrings, although also working your abdominals, back & inner thighs. For a fun difference, lift your hips with your feet flat on the floor & steadily enlarge one leg long into the sky.

Lunge

Begin with feet jointly and arms resting contentedly by your sides. Step forward with your right foot & lower your body pending your frontage knee is at 90 degrees & your knee is not touching the floor. After that, to complete the exercise, push off of your front right foot although straightening your left leg. Keep your right foot off of the floor & balance with your right thigh similar to the floor.

Bicycles

Bicycles make fire in the core for the reason that they need deep abdominal stabilization & rotation. They have also have been confirmed to make active more muscle fibers in the rectus abdominus & obliques than a standard crunch.

Kick Downs

This core exercise can facilitate you make a stronger back and make you less flat to injury. Stay your low back pressing into the ground the whole time & lower your legs as close to the floor as likely without allow them to touch. To create this exercise easier, corner your knees. Or for more of challenge, stay your legs straight.

Side Lunges

Most people simply exercise in two planes: Up & down or forward & back. That’s what makes side lunges so successful — they train you creatively. This lunge variation is a enormous adding up to any conditioning plan for the reason that it will work your muscle fibers, tendons & ligaments in a unusual pattern. To make this exercise further challenging adds a side leg lift to the equation & feels your core kick in too.

Switch Lunges

It’s a very easy but challenging way to tone & strengthen your entire lower body: quads, hamstrings & glutes, calves and the anterior tibialis. Bonus: It also works the core & will help you jump higher & improve your power.

Pullup

Performing a pullup is one of the mainly challenging body-weight movements, and for a good reason: Pullup works the muscles in your back, shoulders, chest and arms like only some others. If you can’t do a standard pullup, try an assist pullup or complete a kipping motion to assist yourself build up the strength needed to complete this work out without momentum.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...  DON'T FORGET YOUR POST WORKOUT SHAKE OR MEAL...  ITS VERY CRUCIAL THAT YOU FEED YOUR MUSCLES THE NECESSARY PROTEIN...  MY FAVORITE IS "WHEY PROTEIN"...  ALL THE WAY!!!

GOOD LUCK AND SEND YOUR FEEDBACKS AND QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENT BOX.

TOP 4 WORKOUT MYTHS THAT WON'T GO AWAY!!!

ALOHA EVERYONE!!!

THOUGHT I'D SHARE THIS ARTICLE I CAME ACROSS THE INTERNET.

The Top 4 Workout Myths That Won’t Go Away

Most people, maybe you included, have exercised a certain way for years..or not at all.  You have diligently put in your due time at the gym and for what??  Where are those flat abs, strong glutes and lean thighs?  They are there..really…but you may be falling for some workout myths that have stalled or even reversed any gains you may have achieved.  I’m about to share with you the biggest myths that are pervasive in the workout world and some are routinely passed on to unsuspecting fitness and gym members.

Some of these myths are part of many people’s mindset so be prepared to be shocked, let go of the notion that they are true and achieve that beautiful body you desire.

Myth 1:  Full Range of Motion is Necessary for a Great Shape

Full range of motion simply means the path of movement for a joint and muscle – from how far you can bend it to how far it can be stretched out.  If your desire is simply over all conditioning, sports performance and flexibility, then full range of motion is important.
However, for molding and shaping individual muscles – short range of motion is the way to go.  This will help define, lengthen and slenderize a muscle such as a bicep.

Myth 2:  Ab or Core Exercises Will Flatten Your Abs

This may be one of the biggest myths out there.  You absolutely want to strengthen  your core and your core includes your abs.. but the only way you will see those those six pack abs is to lose the layer of fat over the.

Myth 3:  Heavy Weights are Necessary to Change Body Shape

Heavy Weights can help you change your body shape but not the sole way to do so.  Pumping away with heavy weights, by the way, will not do much for the hips or the belly bulge.  As mentioned, it is critical to remove the layer of fat over those areas.  Lighter weights with more repetition can effectively change and lean-up your body shape.

Myth 4:  More Hours Working Out Means a Better Body

Big myth!  It is ingrained into most people’s grey matter that the longer hours you spend at the gym, the more time you devote to your body, the better the results.  The truth is that it is the quality not the quantity of your workouts you choose to do.  An example of this would be High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that just takes minutes, 3-4 times a week, yet pumps out human growth hormone and testosterone to help lean you up, it boosts metabolism for 24 hours, this form of exercise creates a stronger heart and stronger lungs and much more.

Too much training or over training is perceived by the body as a stressor and stress creates low-level inflammation in the body – not healthy.  It is important to rest to give your body adequate rest to recover.
Remember that simply moving your body is an important action in and of itself – doing it smartly will help you create the healthy fit body you desire.

Hawaiian Forgiveness and the Three Transgressions
Everything should be forgiven, no exceptions

The Hawaiian concept of forgiveness is different from how forgiveness is approached in Western culture. First, in Huna, forgiveness is not complete until there is a complete letting go or release of the issue. One of my teachers, Etua Lopes, Kumu Hula (teacher of Hula), always says, "You forgive. You forget the incident. You remember only the learning. You remember what it is that you need to do in order to create your universe the way that you want."
In Western culture, after a husband and wife have a heated discussion, they both might say that they're sorry and make peace. Yet when another argument begins a week later, the husband says "See, you're just as hostile as you were last week." The wife retorts, "What does this have to do with last week? You're just holding a grudge because I was right." Neither of them had totally let go of the prior fight.

True pono doesn't happen when the forgiveness occurs. It happens when you forgive and you let it go. It is important to emphasize here that letting it go, releasing it, or forgetting it, does not negate wise discernment. Even in ancient times, if a person wronged you, you forgave him or her. But then from a place of being pono, you could make the decision about how you would relate to that person going forward.

Forgiveness in Hawai‘i must also be mutual. In the West, it's assumed that one party apologizes, the other accepts the apology. Most commonly though, one person says, "I'm sorry" while the other person thinks, "You certainly are, you sorry son of a . . .!" It's less common that there is a sincere response of "Apology accepted." But Hawaiians believe that it is best to get closure on an argument by saying "E Kala mai ia‘u", which means "Please forgive me if I have done anything wrong." Saying it this way volleys responsibility to the other person and calls for action from them. It opens up an energetic connection. Instead of a one-sided admission of guilt and repentance, it encourages a two way communication. In a sense, E Kala mai ia‘u says, "It's in your lap."

Hawaiians also believe that everything should be forgiven, no exceptions. Even the most egregious transgression is to be forgiven. The justice system in ancient Hawai‘i could be swift and firm. Some crimes were punishable by death and others required banishment from society. But even these transgressions were to be forgiven because, according to John Ka‘imikaua, the Hawaiians believed that holding on to unforgiveness only harms yourself.

The Hawaiian code of forgiveness says that there were three types of transgressions, all of which required forgiveness. The first is hala which means that you have "missed the path" or "erred by omission." A hala could be that you procrastinated getting something done or you weren't as clear as you could be in communicating. In modern times, this could mean perhaps you were unaware of someone else's feelings or didn't give a project your best efforts. Maybe you forgot your wedding anniversary! You commit hala to yourself whenever you feel guilty, repress emotions, or allow someone to ignore your personal boundaries. You can commit hala without even knowing it.

The second transgression, hewa, is another offense you can commit unknowingly. Hewa means to "go overboard" or "to excess." You commit hewa when you are being a perfectionist or are obsessed with anything. Hewa could be manifested today as addiction or an obstinately held opinion. It might be overeating, drinking too much, or monopolizing a conversation. Even being overly passionate about an issue and accidentally upsetting someone with a different view is considered hewa. Hewa to yourself might be holding feelings of anger or hatred, or wanting revenge.

Clearly, hala and hewa are easy transgressions to commit, knowingly and unknowingly. When I speak to a group, I've been taught to ask for forgiveness for anything that I may have said or may say that offends anyone listening. My intention is simply to share my mana‘o (my thinking) with aloha. But everyone has a different reality so I don't know if I do a hala or hewa while teaching. No matter how pure your intention, you may be misunderstood. But if you are coming from aloha, from the heart, ho‘oponopono is easy to do.

The third transgression requiring forgiveness is ‘ino. ‘Ino means "to do intentional harm to someone with hate in mind." It includes everything from vicious gossip to murder. Internally, an ‘ino might be harsh self-judgment or self-deprecation.

In the Hawaiian code of forgiveness, you still have to forgive for an ‘ino, no matter how big or heinous the crime. If you do not forgive, you cannot be truly pono. Again, you only hurt one person by holding on to your unforgiveness and that is yourself.

The 6 Most Important Questions You Can Ask Yourself Today

Think about it.  If I ask you, “Quickly, in one sentence, what do you want most out of life?” I bet your rushed response is going to be something like, “I want to be happy, and have a healthy family, and a career I like that pays well, etc."  Your response is going to be so common and ubiquitous that it basically doesn’t even mean anything.  Which is precisely why senseless, happy-go-lucky questions like this aren’t very helpful.  And yet, this is precisely the kind of questions we often ask ourselves.

So what kind of questions might you ask instead?  Questions that force you into a corner.  Questions that help you embrace the sacrifices it takes to get where you want to go.  Questions that motivate you to focus on the next step forward.  In other words, questions like...

1.  What is worth suffering for? – If you want the benefits of something in life, you have to also want the costs.  If you want the six-pack abs, you have to want the sweat, the sore muscles, the early mornings at the gym, and the low carb meals.  If you want the successful business, you have to also want the late nights, the risky business deals and decisions, and the possibility of failing fifty times to learn what you need to know to succeed.  If you find yourself wanting something month after month, year after year, yet nothing happens and you never come any closer to it, then maybe what you actually want is just an idealization, a fantasy, and a false promise.  Maybe you don't actually want it at all, because you’re not willing to suffer though the work it’s going to take to achieve it.

2.  Based on my daily routines and actions, where can I expect to be in five years? – This question just backs up the first one.  If you have an idea about what you want the next chapter of your life to look like, you have to DO things that support this idea every day.  An idea, after all, isn’t going to do anything for you until you do something productive with it.  In fact, as long as that great idea is just sitting around in your head it’s doing far more harm than good.  Your subconscious mind knows you’re procrastinating on something that’s important to you.  The necessary work that you keep postponing causes stress, anxiety, fear, and usually more procrastination – a vicious cycle that continues to worsen until you interrupt it with ACTION.

3.  What do I need to spend more or less time doing? – As Stephen Covey once said, “Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.”  In other words, productivity is not just about getting things done, it’s about getting the right things done.  At the end of each day, look at how you have spent your time, and adjust the allocation as necessary for tomorrow.  Do your best to get rid of your schedule’s complexities so you can spend more time on the things that matter.  This means fine-tuning and eliminating all but the essential tasks, so you are left with only the ones that add value to your life.  And above all, know when to set aside the important things for the vital things, like family.

4.  What old rejections (or failures) are still holding me back? – All too often we let the rejections of our past dictate every move we make.  We literally do not know ourselves to be any better than what some opinionated person or narrow circumstance once told us was true.  Of course, an old rejection doesn’t mean we aren’t good enough; it just means some person or circumstance from our past failed to align with what we had to offer at the time.  It means we were graced with more time to improve our thing – to build upon our ideas, to perfect our craft, and indulge deeper in to the work that moves us.  Don’t let old rejections take up permanent residence in your head.  Kick them out on the street.

5.  What is worth smiling about right now? – A recent scientific study at Duke University showed that doctors who are put in a positive mood before making a diagnosis consistently experience significant boosts to their intellectual abilities than doctors in a neutral state, which allows them to make accurate diagnoses almost 20% faster.  The same study then shifted to other vocations and found that optimistic salespeople outsell their pessimistic counterparts by over 50%.  Students primed to feel happy before taking math tests substantially outperform their neutral peers.  So it turns out that our minds are literally hardwired to perform at their best not when they are negative, or even neutral, but when they are positive.

6.  Are the people around me helping me or hurting me? – A big part of who you become in life has to do with who you choose to surround yourself with.  And as you know, it is better to be alone than in bad company.  You simply cannot expect to live a positive, fulfilling life if you surround yourself with negative people.  Distancing yourself from these people is never easy, but it’s a lot harder when they happen to be close friends or family members.  As hard as it may be, it’s something you need to address.  To a certain degree, luck controls who walks into your life, especially as it relates to your family and childhood friends, but you decide who you spend the majority of your time with.
