ALOHA AND WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL BLOG!!! I THOUGHT WHY NOT SHARE MY PERSONAL GAINS & STRUGGLES THAT LIFE PUTS OUT TO EACH AND ONE OF US. I FEEL THAT THROUGH THE GIFT OF "GIVING & SHARING", THERE IS NO WAY BETTER THAN START THIS BLOG WHICH IS ALL ABOUT ME, MY OHANA (FAMILY), HOALOHA (FRIENDS), AND EVEN ENEMIES WHICH ARE THE VERY ONES I NEED TO LOVE AND ACCEPT.


I'LL SAY THIS STRAIGHT UP, I DON'T HOLD BACK MY FEELINGS FOR ANYONE AND IT'LL COME OUT OF MY MOUTH ON HOW I FEEL ABOUT YOU AND OTHERS. I DON'T GO BEHIND ANYONE'S BACK AND START RUMOURS WITH HOPES THAT IT WILL CIRCLE AROUND AND FINALLY HIT ITS TARGET. WHY TAKE THE LONG ROUTE WHEN I CAN GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. PERSONALLY, I THINK THAT IS THE "REAL" WAY OF LIVING LIFE, "BE REAL" AT ALL TIMES EVEN WHEN THE WORLD IS WATCHING.


ON THE OTHER NOTE, "I AM" THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE FROM THE WAY "I SEE IT". I AM NOT SPEAKING FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S FEEDBACK OR "CONCEITEDNESS". "THIS IS" WHAT I CHOOSE TO SEE MYSELF EVERYDAY WHEN I WAKE UP FROM MY BED AND THANK "AKUA" (GOD) FOR GIVING ME ONE MORE DAY TO LIVE, REGARDLESS OF REGRETS FROM THE "YESTERDAYS" TO THE FEARS OF "TOMMOROWS".

SORRY FOR NO UPDATES OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS... I JUST LOVE UNEXPECTED "CHALLENGES!!!"

ALOHA EVERYONE!!!
 
I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR NOT UPDATING MY BLOG OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS.  UNEXPECTED "CHALLENGES" HAS COME UP AND AT FIRST I WAS FRUSTRATED AND HURT WITH THE UNEXPECTED NEWS, BUT AFTER I TOOK A DEEP BREATH, I WAS ABLE TO REASSESS AND REEVALUATE THE "CHALLENGES" AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT...  "BRING IT ON!!!"
 
I AM ONE "PROUD" MAN TO BE ABLE TO SEE THINGS IN SO MANY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AND PERCEPTIONS AND I GROW FROM IT AND IT DEFINITLEY MAKES ME A BETTER PERSON THAN I WAS BEFORE!!!
 
LIKE I ALWAYS HEAR, "THINGS HAPPENS FOR A REASON".  AND THAT I WELCOME HUMBLY INTO MY LIFE.  :)
 
AS FOR MY HEALTH & FITNESS...  NOT A DAY MISSED AS I AM COMMITED TO MYSELF BECAUSE I DESERVE THE BEST!!!
 
HOWEVER...  I DID MISS A WEEK OF "STEP AEROBICS" CLASSES DUE TO LONG HOURS AT WORK AND SHORT HOURS OF SLEEP.  YOU AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT LACK OF SLEEP AFFECTS "METABOLISM"...  AND BELIEVE ME, IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO TRY TO SLEEP IN TO RECOVER...  AND AT THE END...  I BEGAN TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT MY DECISION.  COACH DAWN...  JUST SO KNOW...  I LOVE YOU DEATH AND I LOVE YOUR HIGH ENERGY IN CLASS, ITS THE NOT THE END AND I AM STILL WORKING OUT A SCHEDULE FOR MYSELF TO BE ABLE TO STILL TRY TO FINISH THE SEMESTER.  I MISS YOU AND THE CLASS VERY MUCH AND NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T THINK ABOUT YOU FOLKS.
 
I STILL CONTINUE TO DO MY NEW AND "AWWWESOME" AND LOVABLE, "PIYO WORKOUTS!!!  IT IS AMAZING AND I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT, I AM SO HAPPY TO KNOW ABOUT THIS THRU MY TEAM BEACHBODY COACH ANGELA.  WE TRULY DID NO MEET UP BY ACCIDENT, WE WERE MEANT TO BECOME FRIENDS AND ALTHOUGH WE LIVE 3000 MILES AWAY...  THE SUPPORT, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND TEAMWORK IS ALL THERE WITH EVERYONE ELSE!!!
 
I ALSO LOVE MY "HYPERTROPHY-STRENGHT TRAINING" WORKOUTS TOO!!!  IT DEFINITELY KEEPS ME BUSY AT HOME AND ALSO BUILDS OF MY STRENGTH. 
 
ALSO MY "AWWWESOME" JUMP ROPE CONDITIONING CLASS IS ANOTHER BEST THING THAT I ADDED TO MY FITNESS SCHEDULE.  THIS CLASS A MIXTURE OF EVERYTHING...  JUMP ROPING, CROSSFIT, AEROBICS, AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE MAY BE BROUGHT TO THE TABLE.  I AM PART OF A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ALL SHARE THE SAME GOALS AND DESIRES TO STAY HEALTHY AND IN BETTER SHAPE.  AND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A GROUP OF DIVERSITY AND VERY WELL FIT PEOPLE.
 
BEN, SARAH, JEREMY, LIZ, KARI, HEATHER, GWEN, AND OTHERS I CAN'T REMEBER MY NAMES BUT I KNOW BY HEART...  YOU ALL ROCK AND I AM PROUD TO BE PART OF YOUR TEAM!!!
 
SINCE I JOINED "TEAM BEACHBODY" AND WORKING MY WAY TO BE AN "AWWWESOME" COACH, MY WHOLE LIFE TOOK A TURN AND NUMEROUS OPPORTUNITIES HAS BEEN COMING TO ME.  GREAT EVENTS SUCH "TEAM BEACHBODY CHALLENGES" WHICH I LOVE SO MUCH.  SO FAR I DID 2 SEPARATE CHALLENGES, A "5 DAY CLEAN EATING CHALLENGE" AND A "10 DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE".  BOTH OF THESE CHALLENGES HAS DEFINITELY TAUGHT ME MORE ABOUT "DISCIPLINE" AND "SUPPORT" ALL AT ONCE.
 
I AM WORKING STARTING A PERSONAL "5 DAY CHALLENGE" THIS COMING MONDAY, DECEMBER 1ST!!!  IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO "TEAM BEACHBODY" CONCEPT BUT WITHOUT THE "SHAKEOLOGY" AS MY FRIENDS EITHER HAVE NO CLUE WHAT "TEAM BEACHBODY" IS ALL ABOUT OR THEY KNOW SOMEWHAT ABOUT IT.  HOPEFULLY AFTER THIS "CHALLENGE", MAYBE THEN I CAN INTROUCED THEM TO WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT.

ALOHA AND WELCOME TO THE UPCOMING AND EXCITING “WAIPA’S 5 DAY CHALLENGE!!!”

DECEMBER 1ST – DECEMBER 5TH.

 

“WHY AM I DOING THIS???”

I KNOW FIRST HAND HOW HARD IT CAN BE.  I CREATED THIS GROUP CHALLENGE TO SIMPLIFY ALL OF THAT FOR YOU!!!  MY MISSION IS TO HELP END THE TREND OF OBESITY AND FAD DIETING, TO EDUCATE PARTICIPANTS ON CLEAN EATING, AND TO INSPIRE, MOTIVATE, AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER TO LIVE A HEALTIER LIFESTYLE.  FINDING BALANCE WITH HEALTH, FITNESS, AND NUTRITION, CAN BE LIFE CHANGING AND I’D LOVE TO “PAY IT FORWARD!!!”

 

THE RULES:

DURING THE 5 DAY CHALLENGE,  YOU WILL DO THE FOLLOWING:

         REFRAIN FROM SMOKING OR CHEWING TOBACCO.

         NO ALCOHOL BEVERAGES.

         NO SODAS, JUICE, ENERGY DRINKS, VITAMIN WATER, (THEY HAVE HIDDEN SUGARS & CHEMICALS).

         NO PROCESSED SUGARS (IE.  CANDIES, COFFEE CREAMERS, CEREALS, SUGARY SNACKS, ETC.)

         NO JUNK FOODS (CHIPS, COOKIES, ANYTHING THAT IS HIGH IN SUGAR AND SALT, ETC.)

         NO ORDERING OUT FROM RESTAURANTS OR ANY TAKE OUT FOODS.

         NO SUGAR-FREE BEVERAGES SUCH AS DIET SODAS AND DRINKS.

         EAT 5 – 6 SMALL MEALS A DAY.

         AT LEAST 30 MINUTES OF EXERCISE TO YOUR LEVEL OF COMFORT IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE SO IN A WHILE.

 

HERE ARE SOME CLEAN FOODS ALTERNATIVES:

         FRESH FRUITS & VEGETABLES

         WATER…  LOTS OF WATER (YOU CAN ALSO ADD FRESH SLICES OF LEMONS, ORANGES, LIMES, STRAWBERRIES, ETC.)

         LEAN CHICKEN AND FISH

         UNSALTED ALMONDS (MY FAVORITE)

         TOFU

         PLAIN YOGURT AND ADD YOUR FAVORITE FRESH FRUITS.  (AVOID FLAVORED YOGURTS!!!)

         100% NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER OR ALMOND BUTTER

 

NOW SOME OF YOU MAY BE THINKING THIS MIGHT ME A LITTLE EXTREME.  BUT PLEASE REMEMBER, THIS IS A “CHALLENGE” AND IT IS ONLY FOR 5 DAYS!!!

IF YOU ADHERE TO THESE SIMPLE RULES AND COMITTMENTS, I PROMISE YOU WILL FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU ARE DOING THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF, YOUR HEALTH, YOUR BODY.

REMEMBER, YOU ONLY HAVE ONE BODY AND IT IS THE ONLY ONE YOU’LL EVER HAVE, TAKE CARE OF IT!!!

AS FOR THANKSGIVING...  IT WENT VERY HORRIBLE, WELL MY EATING THAT IS.  I WENT OVERBOARD...  BUT AT THE SAME TIME I'M GLAD I WENT THRU THIS PHASE AS IT REMINDED ME TO "LIMIT" MYSELF DURING "HOLIDAYS" EVENTS AND WITH ALL JOKES ON THE SIDE, ITS ANOTHER PERSONAL CHALLENGE FOR ME!!!

SO I WILL END FOR NOW AND I WILL POST ALL OF WONDERFUL EVENTS THAT HAS OCCURED OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS!!!

PIYO - DAY 08, 10 DAY CHALLENGE - DAY 03, JUMP ROPE CONDITIONING CLASS!!!

ALOHA EVERYONE!!!

IT IS "ALOHA WEDNESDAY" AND ANOTHER EXCITING DAY OF "AWWWESOME" WORKOUTS FOR ME!!!

TODAY WAS MY FIRST "PIYO - CORE - WORKOUT" AND IT WAS PRETTY BRUTAL...  WELL TO ME...  BUT ITS ALL GOOD...  I DO LOVE THE CHALLENGE AND I LOVE THAT FACT THAT I CAN ALWAYS IMPROVE AND PUSH MYSELF TO PERFECT THE MOVES!!!


MY STATS:

RIGHT AFTER THAT I HEADED STRAIGHT FOR MY "JUMP ROPE CONDITIONING" CLASS.  I RAN INTO MY CLASS INSTRUCTOR AND HE SAID IT IS "BURPEES" KIND OF NIGHT!!!  I WAS LIKE "UGHHH!!!"

SO WE DID ONE SONG OF JUMP ROPE WARM UPS AND THEN WE HEADED INTO DOING 7 BURPEES AND 7 SIT UPS WHILE HOLDING EITHER A MEDICINE BALL OR A KETTLEBELL!!!  I WAS THE LUCKY GUY WITH THE 20LBS KETTLEBELL...  LOL!!!

AND WE HAD TO 11 ROUNDS OF THIS CIRCUIT AND THEN WE FINISH OFF WITH A JUMP ROPE COOL DOWN!!!

SO I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I COMPLETED ALL 11 ROUNDS WITH A TOTAL OF 77 BURPEES AND 77 SIT UPS WITH A 20LBS KETTLEBELL ON MY CHEST!!!

PIYO - DAY 07 & 10 DAY CHALLENGE - DAY 02!!!

BESIDES THE FREEZING RAIN IN BETHEL, ALASKA...  THE GOOD NEWS IS THERE STILL WORKOUTS THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE...  WELL FOR ME THAT IS...  LOL!!!

PIYO - DAY 07 & MY 10 DAY CHALLENGE - DAY 01.

ALOHA EVERYONE!!!

AS I SAID IN MY LAST BLOG POST, TODAY I START ANOTHER "TEAM BEACHBODY CHALLENGE".  MY LAST CHALLENGE WAS A SUCCESS WHICH WAS A "5 DAY CLEAN EATING" CHALLENGE" RESULTING IN LOSING 7 POUNDS!!!

AND FOR THIS CHALLENGE...


10 Days of Clean Eating Tips, Recipes and Motivation! Combine with your Fitness program and Shakeology, and you will have amazing results!!!


SO I'M IN THIS FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS!!!

THIS CONCLUDES MY STRENGTH TRAINING AFTER 4 WEEKS AND I NOW HAVE A WEEK REST...  BUT I STILL CONTINUE ON WITH MY "STEP AEROBICS" AND "JUMP ROPE CONDITIONING" CLASSES AND MY ADDED "PIYO" WORKOUTS!!!

I HAVE FELL IN LOVE WITH "PIYO"...  I CAN'T WAIT TO BE SO GOOD AT THIS THAT I'D LOVE TO BE A CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR AND TEACH OTHERS IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE!!!

ORIGINALLY I PLANNED TO FINISH MY DAY WITH "PIYO" BUT INSTEAD I CHOSE TO GO A VISITING FRIEND AND HER BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER WHO ARE ORIGINALLY FROM ALASKA BUT NOW THEY LIVE IN MILILANI, HAWAI'I...  YEAH HOW DID THAT HAPPEN...  LOL!!!

BUT I WAS EXCITED TO GO SEE THEM AND WE HAD DINNER WITH FRIENDS.





WE ATE DINNER AT "TUNDRA RESTAURANT" AND IT WAS "CHEAT DAY" FOR ME!!!  SO I HAD THE ORANGE CHICKEN MEAL!!!

IT WAS SO GOOD TO SEE ELIZABETH AND HER BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, KRYSTAL, ALSO JANEEN JOINED US ALONG WITH MY COUSIN KA'IWA AND MY NEPHEW KA'IWA JR.

AFTER OUR FUN MEAL I WENT TO SEE MY NIECE MARCY AND MY SIS, BROYLINE FOR A SHORT VISIT.


MARCY AND HER "BOXTROLL" COSTUME...  LOL!!!


AND AFTER THAT...  I WAS INVITED TO THOR & JOANN'S PLACE FOR SOME HANGING OUT FUN!!!



KONA...  SHE IS SUCH A SWEETHEART...  LOL!!!
