BEING SO DAMN HUNGOVER FROM TRACEY'S BAR, WE DIDN'T WAKE UP TIL LIKE 3PM!!! TALK ABOUT WASTING A WHOLE DAY!!!
WE WERE SO HUNGOVER THAT I HAD TO GET SOME FOODS IN OUR SYSTEMS.
SO I WENT TO...
I GOT SOME FRIED CHICKEN AND FRIED CATFISH PLATES WITH ALOT OF H20!!!
SEVERAL HOURS LATER, WE WE'RE ABLE TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN... LOL!!!
SO WE HEADED OVER TO THE HOUSE OF SHOCK, NEW ORLEANS FAMOUS AND WELL LOVED HAUNTED HOUSE FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS!!!
The New Orleans-based House of Shock Haunted House and Halloween Festival is back celebrating its 25th season with a brand-new event! THE HOUSE OF WAX a tribute to Museé Conti! This brand new event focuses on Louisiana's own dark and macabre past! Learn about Mad Madame Lalaurie, The Myrtles and The Honey Island Swamp Monster to name a few! We also pay a special tribute to New Orleans' own infamous mad scientist Morgus the Magnificent! The House of Wax stays true to our New Orleans roots... And everyone knows that wax museums are creepy by nature! The fact that The House of Shock is putting their twist to it, makes it over the top!
ALSO... Back by popular demand, our incredible 3D funhouse Laff in the Dark, an all-out 3D clown assault: A nod to old school fun houses, specifically the Pontchartrain Beach Fun House of the same name. Clown-a-phobiacs beware, as Laff in the Dark has more scares per square foot than any other event of its kind.
And The House of Shock's main attraction has been totally renovated in 2016 with many new surprises added - all new this year!
As always, the importance of incorporating New Orleans' own dark history into the fabric of their event is continued. This may be best represented by the immense entrance constructed to pay homage to the infamous LeBeau Mansion – the Old Arabi plantation home that burnt to the ground in 2013.
THIS IS MY SECOND TIME AND VICKIE'S FIRST... MUA HA HA HA!!!
I MUST THEY WENT ALL OUT THIS YEAR COMPARED TO THE YEAR BEFORE. THERE THIS COUPLE IN FRONT OF US AND THE GAL WAS SO SCARED TO MOVE THAT HER MAN LITERALLY HAD TO CARRY HER AND MOVE HER FORWARD SO WE ALL GO THROUGH. WOW, WHAT AN AWESOME GUY, THANK YOU VICKIE FOR NOT BEING THAT SCARED, I MEAN I'D CARRIED YOU IF I REALLY HAVE TO... LOL!!!
BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE LONG LINE WAIT AND THE SINISTER ENTERTAINMENT THAT COMES ALONG WITH IT.
WE WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE VIDEOS FOOTAGE WHILE IN THE HAUNTED HOUSE BUT HERE IS A VIDEO FROM YOUTUBE:
THEY DEFINITELY WENT ALL OUT!!!
AFTER GETTING OUR HALLOWEEN SCARE FIX... WE ARE HUNGRY AGAIN!!! AND WHERE DID WE GO EAT THIS TIME...

WE BOARDED ON THE STEAMBOAT NATCHEZ
THE DINNER BUFFET WAS AMAZING, FROM GUMBO, JAMBALAYA, CATFISH, PRIME RIB, SALADS, AND BREAD PUDDING AND MANY OTHERS... IT WAS WORTH IT!!! ADDED WITH GOOD OLE LIVE JAZZ MUSIC OF THE ROARING 20'S, WE COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PIC OF THE EVENING!!!
VICKIE AND HER BEAUTIFUL SMILE WITH THE CRESCENT CITY BRIDGE OF NEW ORLEANS IN THE BACKGROUND.
GLAD IT WAS WINDY TO COOL US OFF AS WE ARE STILL SWEATING FROM THE HEAT OF NOLA!!!
WE TRAVELLED DOWN SOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND ENJOYED THE QUIET LITTLE TOWNS AND THE LOUD INDUSTRIAL AREAS, YET A NICE CRUISE OVERALL.
3 HOURS LATER WE ARE BACK AT THE DOCKS. AND WHERE TO NEXT???
